# Claude or ChatGPT

> Connect Quo to Claude or ChatGPT and manage conversations in plain English. No coding required.

## Overview

This integration brings Quo directly into your AI assistant, no switching apps, no clicking through menus. Send texts, check messages, and pull call transcripts using natural conversation, whether you're at your desk or out in the field. Just ask for what you need, and your AI assistant handles the rest.

## How it works

The integration uses a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. This is a bridge that lets Claude or ChatGPT talk to your Quo account securely.

## How to set up the Quo MCP integration

<Tip>
  Quo is an official Claude connector, available to all Claude users.
</Tip>

### Connect to Claude

Connect your Quo inbox to Claude to use AI directly in your conversations, look up contact history, and get answers without switching tabs.

1. Open Claude and go to **Settings** → **Connectors**
2. Click **Browse connectors,** find [**Quo**](https://claude.ai/directory/connectors/quo), and click **Connect**
3. On the next screen, click **Allow**

  Ensure you're **logged in to the Quo account** that you want to connect.

### Connect to ChatGPT

<Warning>
  **ChatGPT Plus or Pro is required**. Custom connectors must be set up from the [ChatGPT website](http://chatgpt.com), not the mobile or desktop app.

1. Open ChatGPT and go to **Settings → Apps**
2. Turn on **Developer mode** under **Advanced settings**
3. Click the **Create App** button that appears
4. Name it **Quo**
5. Paste this URL: `https://mcp.quo.com/sse`
6. Set Authorization as **OAuth**
7. Click **Create**
8. On the next screen, click **Allow**

## Safety and permissions

Your AI assistant can only do what your Quo account already allows. It can't access anything extra or hidden.

## FAQ

  <Accordion title="Why can't it find my Quo number?">
    Make sure you're using the full number with country code (like `+14155550100`). You can also use the number ID from your Quo settings.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I don't see any messages when I search. Why?">
    Check that the number has message history. If you're searching a specific contact, make sure you spelled their number correctly. Try increasing the result limit or widening your date range.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why are there no call transcripts?">
    Transcripts are only available on certain Quo plans and only for calls where transcription was turned on. Check your plan settings or widen your date search.

  <Accordion title="Is my data secure?">
    Your credentials are encrypted and handled securely. The integration only accesses what your Quo account can already see. Treat your API key like a password—don't share it publicly.
