We’ve made it easy to disclose when calls are being recorded for compliance reasons.

Built right into the call recording area, you can opt in to call recording notifications — (Settings > Phone numbers > Call assistant > Auto record calls)

You have the option to either:

  * **Automatically play** a disclosure message when call recording begins.

  * **Play an audio prompt** that both parties hear, reminding you to disclose that your call is being recorded.

  **Customize your call recording notification:**

  * Toggle this feature on or off — If you toggle it off, you will see a disclaimer that you may be at risk for compliance.

  * Use separate settings for inbound and outbound calls so you can customize what works best for you.

  * Choose to automatically play a prompt when call recording is manually turned on or off during a call.

This update removes the burden of understanding different recording laws from your shoulders, reducing your legal exposure while simplifying your workflow.
